    Hey Kiona,

    What a FANTASTIC turn out we are having for our 60- Day Challenege!! It was REALLY exciting measuring and getting everyone going last week. Because some people were not able to make it, I WILL be doing additional measurements in Towson TODAY and in laurel NEXT WEEK. If you thought you missed it, now's the time to JUMP IN!! I have also decided to sweeten teh deal for anyone who completes the Challenge, when you submit your final photos and essays, copy me on them, I will choose a winner from ALL my classes and a FREE one on one Personal Training Session will go to the winner (Valued at $85.) So check out where all the classes are going to be this week and the cancellation policy below!

    Classes this week. TODAY in Towson at the Moose Lodge, the snow policy for this class is more difficult. The Lodge expects to be open unless roads are closed so I will have to make a judgement call on the weather between myself and the class (a good 40- miles) so I will E-MAIL the Towson list by 5pm if we are cancelled. If you do NOT get an e-mail we wil have class. This Tuesday at Pallotti High School in Laurel we are CANCELLED FOR INAUGURATION. The school is closed tomorrow so we are not able to have class. I apologize for the change in this schedule I was just informed last week when I got to class. This also applies to the SNOW policy for this class. Listen to the radio for evening closings or Prince George's County School closings and we are CLOSED as well. All classes that are held in inclement weather WILL count against your class, card, this is part of why I allow two misses per card session. If class is completely cancelled, class cards are extended by a week. Therefore the Laurel class cards have all been extended because of tomorrow.

    We also have one LAST weekend of Clinics for the MONTH this weekend in Northern VA. Check out ALL the locations located on my website and on the side bar. We will be kicking the year off with Total Workout and in our Woodbridge location come learn MORE on the CRT and see how THIS unique location offers TONS of add on services for really helpnig the body!

    Currently the Thursday at the Coffield Community Cetner in Silver Spring is still SUSPENDED. The interest is growing, but we still need more students to fill this class. I need three more students over the couple who e-mailed me after our cancellation last week before we can start this class up again. E-mail me if you are INTERESTED!

    Slow Losers Survival Guide INTRODUCTION

    I have had several requests from clients to go over WHY they may not be losing. So I said I would do a Slow Loser Survival Guide" in my next newsletter. Well as I sat down to try and make my notes for this I realized that I have SO MANY tips outside workout information that there was NO WAY to get it all in one newsltter. It would take me 6 hours to write and you 2 horus to read. So I am going to split it up over the next several moths by the topics listed below. I hope you enjoy and it gives you LOTS of ideas of how to not only lose those inches, but repair your health for GOOD. That's what I did, it's why I am SO aware of how painful it IS to BE a slow loser, but if you stick with it, it pays off BIG TIME in the end because you have all new health AND a whole new figure! So sit back relax and enjoy and I'll be adding in T-Tapp tips along with recipies to the newsletters on all the topics.


    Treat your liver right and your gall bladder

    One of the most important organs for detoxinig the body is your Liver and if it's clogged up you have a hard time losing. If you are stuck this may be a good place to look and also learn how the gall bladder supports the liver and it has to be healthy along with the liver to really lose.


    Open up the GI tract

    Often in the homeopathic world when someone is struggling with weight your homeopath will look at the GI tract for how clogged up it may be. The most famous example of this is the reports that when he died, Elvis Presley had a 60-lb colon!!! This is scary to think of but in working with clients I have found that this seems to be true. We will talk about how to support a healthy GI trackt from top to bottom, scarring and adhesions that may be holding you back and MORE!


    Adrenal/Kidney exhaustion...reduce that STRESS

    When the body is stressed it WILL NOT lose. I have experienced this myself when I was first Tapping because I was so close to Adrenal exhaustion. As I reduced my stressed, balanced out cortisol levels and MORE the weight just began to FALL off. we will look at supporting the Adrenals that are the main driving force behind our stress responses and also the kidneys they sit on top of because you can't have one healthy without the other!


    Getting that Lymph system MOVING

    The lymphatic movements in the T-Tapp workout are part of the reason why it is so effective so quickly. But if it's NOT effective for yu, what else could be going on with your lymph system and what can you DO about it. We'll talk about other supportive therapies and things you can do to make sure your lymph is REALLY moving1


    Thyroid Issues are just making it SLOW!

    While this will be one of the hardest things to get over and you will definitely need a trained health care practitioner and probably a prescription to get over, there are TONS of things within the workout that support your thyroid and other tips on keeping it healthy and rebuilding it!


    Hormones in blance....ahh easy losses

    Women more than men will be suject to this issue of hormonal fluccuation, but given that INSULIN (not Estrogen or Testosterone) is the most powerful hormone in the body and EVERYTHING will cue off it, learn how you can get THAT under control and start to lose...lose...lose!


    Are you REALLY activating all those muscles

    One of the best ways to get restult through the T-Tapp movements is total muscle activation. But what is you are just a clutz?! Well this set of tips will help you connect the brain better to the muscles so you can get full fiber activation of the muscles and REALLY start to slim down!


    Reduce Inflammation

    Inflammation or swelling...shouldn't have to say too much more about how that can make your size swell at all. But this can be a big problem not just all over the body, but if it causes aches and pains that stop you FROM doing the workout that will slow you down too. We'll look at simple easy tips for reducing inflammation and how important this step is!


    The Misc we may have missed

    This last section will look at any other organs or places in the body where we may have issues and can make improvements to re-build.


    A recipie to kick you off!
    Live Cucumber and Avocado Soup

    8 cucumbers, roughly chopped
    4 avocadoes, peels and pits removed
    1 jalapeño, seeds removed
    ½ bunch cilantro
    1 sprig mint, stems removed
    1 lime, juiced
    2 tablespoons salt
    1 small radish, julienne

    1. Purée cucumbers in a blender. Place a chinois (china cap strainer) over a 1-2 quart container. Pass the purée through the chinois, working it through with a spatula if necessary. Reserve the cucumber juice.
    2. In a high-speed blender combine cucumber purée, avocadoes, jalapeño, cilantro, mint leaves, lime juice, and salt. Blend on high until all ingredients have been well puréed (about 1-2 minutes).
    3. Add reserved cucumber juice as desired to thin soup. Taste and re-season if desired.
    4. Ladle a serving of the cucumber and avocado soup into a bowl. Place the julienne of radish on top to garnish.
